Happy Valentine’s Day from Chicago!
Ready to get day +6 underway. I am happy to report that they are weaning me off the steroids and that makes me very happy. I’m starting to deflate a bit which makes me feel more like myself. I got some platelets yesterday and that helped with the energy level a little too. I got an insane headache but it was likely due to the low blood counts.
The nausea is still hanging on but I’m eating fine. It just takes me forever to figure out what sounds edible. It’s like being pregnant when that doughnut sounds awesome until it’s sitting in front of you. Poor Matt has been all over Chicago trying to satisfy my appetite requirements. If anyone needs any suggestions next time they come visit here, we have made our rounds.
My numbers likely will still drop but we have been told that they all of sudden sky rocket as the shots start working. Today is my third day on the Neupogen so maybe 4 more days or so. I cannot wait to get back home. Cannot. Wait.
Thank you to everyone for all the thoughtful messages, pictures, and texts. It has really made this whole crazy thing a million times easier for me. I just have the nicest group of friends and family anyone could ever ask for.
