Ok the last two days the nausea was rough. I stayed in bed and tried to eat anything and drink as much as I could to try to wash that gross chemo out of my system. Mom pretty much bought out the place downstairs trying to find anything remotely appetizing. The winners were a little bit of mashed potatoes and peanut butter toast…
Today my plan of jogging a little is definitely way off the table but feeling a little better than yesterday. Tomorrow my mom heads back and Matt arrives and the day is free of any new drugs etc. Happy about that!
I miss the kids, they seem to be doing relatively okay, I think it is harder for them at night that I am not there to tuck them in etc. which is the usual routine.
Sunday I start the shots to help multiply the stem cells from my marrow. From what I’ve read injecting them isn’t a huge deal so the biggest prob can be bone pain (and not always) although I think I would take just about anything over nausea right now.
Also, since I have had the 1st chemo now my hair only has a about a week before it will begin to fall out. I think I will have to rip the bandaid off there before I have a small chihuahua sleeping next to me;). Also, next weekend I can come home for about a week and I don’t think that would be great to have it falling out when I’m back with the kids.
I opened some cute gifts from my sunshine train..I love the party cup P, and the hang in there rock/cool pic came at a very opportune time Jules. I also love the picture Serena sent with the coloring book. That is going up on my wall! Mom brought me some cute stuffed animals and balloons, there may be some fights over those when I get home…
Dearest Jennie, …….And yet you continue to be the bright light in so many lives! Nausea and all! And Mom will be sure to tuck and cuddle the girls for you! As Matt comes to be your rock (And maybe anchor—if you thinking of doing any bed-bouncing!) With all our love and continued prayers! Safe travels home to MK and God Bless! Love, Mrs. Morris and Family
