Day 7

Well I am a week in. I started the neupogen shots this morning along with antibiotics, antifungals, nausea medicine…etc. It is safe to say I would NOT pass a drug test right now.

I am feeling much better from the chemo effects, so I am happy to have the respite. Mom headed back to take over kids duty (thank you mom for taking care of me the last week) and Matt arrived yesterday. He will be able to do some work from here which is great while simultaneously honing his tea making skills. Speaking of skills, his barber ones could use a little work….

I now can be referred to as GI Jennie. I can’t say it is the best look I’ve ever had. Ernesto tells me the cue-tip look is in. If that is the case, I am looking pretty cue-tipish so I must be cool. Actually I think if I threw on a one piece pleather suit and some purple lipstick I could be one very believable sci-fi alien mother. I am grateful I purchased some earrings before Β I left and have a plethora of hats to choose from.

I’m getting tired of this room and I will never get brown curtains.

I miss the kids, my brother and sister in law drove down and kept them company for the day, that was a nice distraction for them. Thank you Jimmy and Tiff:).

OK off to watch “border control”, that’s what happens when a man is your caregiver. Send me all your prayers, good thoughts, vibes…etc that these shots help me produce at least 20 million stem cells by Friday so I can harvest them and get home for a few days before phase two!

  2. Good Morning, Jennie & Matt!

Prayers, prayers and more prayers for you to hit that magic number of cells, Jennie! You’ll make it and see those bright faces of the girls as your payoff!! And Matt, you know you can’t be perfect at “everything” – so “Matt the Barber” won’t be your 2nd career! Sending our love and prayers daily! xxoo Mrs. Morris & Family
