VERY Cool Update

I was just sitting here in my room and a man was walking by in his gown/mask/gloves in the hallway and came in my room (majorly not allowed) with tears in his eyes. Like literally crying. I just looked at him wondering what was happening and he walked in and sat on my bed (way not allowed) and he said to me I haven’t walked in years until right now. I had 40 lesions on my brain. I woke up this morning and I can see, I can walk, and I can talk. He went on to tell me he was seriously contemplating suicide months ago. He had given up entirely on life even having two daughters. He is 46. He is still carefully holding his wives hand and walking around the hall. He is in complete disbelief and so is she and the physical therapist. I mean to not be able to talk, walk, and with serious vision impairment days ago, its like a Valentine miracle. I have agreed to party with him before we leave;).

And on a side note, we are in BIG trouble for entering the room and that kiss….oh well I didn’t see it coming…my nurses are disinfecting as we speak. I am so happy for this man. I’ve never seen something quite like that in person.

  3. What an inspiring share. While he was not supposed to enter your room, let alone give you smooch on the cheek, perhaps he needed to be there and remind you of the possibility and the promise that your treatment will provide.

PS: You look great…hipster-ish and uber edgy. More than anything, I’m glad you still have that radiant smile. Take great care, Jen!
